OHIO!

Friday-Saturday, 11/17-18/2017
Il - Ohio

Friday was a really cold day so we didn't do much outside.  Lola was a bit upset as she wanted to out and play frizbee but it was too cold.  She would shiver after being out just a few minutes.  I did get some laundry done so I don't have to do that again for awhile.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early (actually dark and early).  The wind started blowing last night and there is a tree with big nuts or something right over our rig.  These things kept dropping and making a lot of noise all night.  Lola would wake up out of a sound sleep and bark at them.  So we were up early.  We are going to lose an hour today anyway when we cross into Eastern time.  So we got on the road.  No rain yet but some drizzle.  The drive was harder because of the wind but we made it safe and sound.  Just before the base we stopped at the Flying J to top off the propane and fill the fuel tank.  Then it was on to the base.

We got setup and headed to the kids house.  We dropped Lola off.  Everyone was happy to see her and she was happy to see them.  We brought all her stuff in.  It had started to rain pretty good by this time.  But we trudged ahead and went to the house.  We got there and the garage door openers didn't work.  Huh.  We used a key and went in the front door.  I tried to turn on the lights, nothing.  Huh.  Good thing we all had smart phones.  We used our flashlights to check it out.  I called the company I thought was our power company.  Turns out they only do our gas.  But this was the company the realtor told me to use.  I guess I wasn't clear when I talked to them that I thought I was getting both power and gas.  They do power in Indiana but not Ohio.  I sent an email to the realtor but in the meantime we found the correct company on our phones.  Of course I can't start a new account until Monday so we will be without power on Sunday too.  After checking out the house (we like it) we headed over to BJ's for dinner.  It was crowded of course but after about 30 minutes we got in and had a nice dinner.  Then it was off to our own places.

Bill and I stopped at Home Depot to pick up a couple of things we need for tomorrow and while we were there I bought a washer and dryer.  They will be delivered on Friday.  The store is doing their before Black Friday sale so I got a good price.  I didn't get a really fancy one as the more bells and whistles the more to break.  One thing down.  Now I just need a bunch of furniture.

Back at the rig we went to bed as we were both tired from the drive in.  And we slept in too.  We are going to the house now to unpack the POD.  Bye for now.
