Here comes the weather

First off, today is Aimee's birthday.  Happy Birthday!  Nick was going to take her out tonight and we were going to have an overnight with Rory and Lola but the storm has put that off.  If the weather is better on Saturday they may go then. 

Yes, there is a big storm headed this way.  They are predicting ice and snow sometime this afternoon into tomorrow morning.  It has warmed up, yesterday was in the 50's but the cold is also coming back.  Aimee advised me on Wednesday to make sure I had everything I needed for the weekend as people will wipe out the milk and bread at the grocery store by Friday.  So I did make sure I am stocked up.  We have no real plans to go anywhere until Monday, except the kids house to pick up the little ones.  They are saying up to 6 inches of snow.  So far all we have seen is rain. 

Even though the weather hasn't been great we are enjoying living here.  It is nice to be near the kids.  We see them at least once a week or so.  The house stays warm and our gas and electric bills haven't been as bad as I thought they might be.  We have discovered some new restaurants in some of the other small towns around us.  I have been looking on Pinterest for places to visit come this spring.  I am also looking at things I want to remodel come spring.  New floors in the kitchen and new appliances.  Also new counters.  I am not sure about the cabinets, replace or paint.  We will see.
