Taking a trip

This week Bill and I took a car trip to Nashville.  It is about 300 miles away, kinda like driving to Vegas used to be.  We had gotten tickets to a show at the Opry.  When we bought the tickets Charlie Daniels and Trace Adkins we suppose to be playing.  It was to celebrate Charlie's 10th anniversary of his membership.  So about a week before the show we saw that Trace was no longer on the list of performers.  Oh well, at least Charlie will be there.  The show was scheduled for Tuesday night and there are no refunds as you are really buying tickets to the show, not the individual performers.  We planned to leave the house on Tuesday morning, see the show, spend the night and then drive home om Wednesday.  Well, on Monday night I got an email saying Charlie Daniels was sick and would not be performing!  Bummer!  But we decided to go because, no refunds.  The show was pretty good, even though we didn't really know all the performers.  We saw -

Terri Clark -

Whispering Bill Anderson

Lorrie Morgan -

Lauren Alaina -

Jamie Johnson and Allison Krause -

Chris Janson -

On our way down there we decided to stop at the Corvette Museum.  We forgot that Nashville was in Central Time so we would arrive an hour earlier than we planned if we didn't stop.  Bill wanted to see the sink hole problem they had a few years ago.  8 corvettes fell into the hole.  Only 3 of them have been restored, the others were deemed too damaged to repair.  It was a really big hole.  They have repaired the floors and filled most of the cave that is below the museum.

I really liked this corvette they had on display -

The drive wasn't bad, just some rain and it was warmer in Nashville than at home.  When we got home I did have some flowers blooming -

We have rain for the next week but hopefully it show stop over the weekend and we will have nice weather.  I think the really cold is over now.

Hope you like the pictures.
