On Monday, April 2 our painting started inside the house. We had to take down the curtains and shades throughout the house as well as all paintings and decorations before they got here so that was our weekend project. We took Easter evening to take the kids out to dinner. We went to a place called The Chop House. Good beef but a bit expensive. I would go again though.
On Monday they came and started painting the trim, which is white and doing what prep work they needed to do. Later in the week they took all the doors and drawer fronts off in the kitchen. They are also getting painted. Oh, and my master closet is also getting painted so all the clothes had to come out. Here is what the kitchen looked like -
The pictures don't look that great from the camera phone and with the lighting but here are the rooms. The master bath, guest bath, and office are all the same color - Sherwin Williams (all paint is Sherwin Williams) - Anew Gray SW7030.
The guest bedroom is painted Queen Anne Lilac SW0021 -
The master bedroom is painted Softened Green SW6177
The living room, kitchen and hallway are not painted yet. I will have to update when they are but their color will be Repose Gray SW7015
My cabinets are also not painted yet but the colors are Software SW7074 for the lower cabinets and Pure White SW7005 for the upper cabinets.
We have been working on putting the rooms together that have been finished. It is slow work. Even though we have only been here a little over 4 months I am making a few changes. In the master closet they had a setup that was just OK. It was particle board so when we moved it, it fell apart. We could put it back together but decided to go with heavier material. We bought a dresser and bookcase to use instead.
Pictures when they get here and get put together. Whoever said moving was fun lied.
