Well, that was a bust

All week we had been hearing about the storm that was suppose to hit this last weekend.  Some forecasters were even mentioning the B word (Blizzard).  We got ready and made plans to stay home all weekend because of the predictions.  We did get rain Friday and Saturday but the predicted snow and ice didn't come until early Sunday and then it was minimal.  Last weekend we got more snow than this one.  We were suppose to go to dinner with our camping group on Saturday night but they cancelled because of the predicted weather.  Guess we could have gone ahead and had the evening.   The temps did drop down pretty good though.  My heating bill is going to be a bit higher this month. 

Since I am about 2 weeks out from surgery I have scheduled all my other appointments this week.  Last week we both saw the dentist and got our cleanings done.  Dental insurance sure helped as we didn't have to pay anything.  On Monday I saw my rheumatologist.  She says everything looks good and gave me a schedule on stopping my medications before the surgery.  On Tuesday we both have eye appointments and will get new glasses.  I got glasses back in May but since we have vision insurance now I am going to get another pair.  On Wednesday Bill has an appointment about his hearing aids.  They are not working right.  Thursday I go to the hospital and have blood work and X-rays done.  I also have to take a class  on the knee surgery.  It is what to expect before, during and after surgery.  I think I have a pretty good handle on that but will go see if there is anything different than before.  I didn't take any classes like this for my other 2 surgeries. 

We haven't done much because of my leg but we did go see a couple of movies the last few weeks.  We have seen Mary Poppins, Aquaman, A Dog's way home, and a couple of others.  Tuesday is senior day at one theater and the tickets are $5.50.  Another theater just started a $5 daily shows for the next 3 months, so we can go there any weekday.  Both theaters have reclining seats and are really  nice.
