Almost time

We did have some cold weather this week, 0 degrees and wind chill in the -20's.  It did warm up enough to snow on one day.  Now it is warming up and the snow is melting.  We stayed home both of the really cold days except for a doctor's appointment on Thursday for me.  It is the final one before surgery.  Let's get this over with!

We went out to dinner on Saturday with the kids to celebrate our 40th anniversary.  Our actual anniversary is on the 10th and I doubt I will feel like going out then since my surgery is on the 6th.  Anyway, we went to a place called Osaka.  It is a Benihana type restaurant.  The kids recommended it.  It has been a long time since we have been to this type of place and I really enjoyed it.  Rory had a good time watching the show.  I think it was more fun to watch him than to watch the cook. 

We are staying home for the Superbowl today  I don't really have a vested interest in who wind but I don't like the Rams.  I mainly want to see the commercials.  Also it comes on at 6:30 tonight so there won't be much else on. 

We took the car through the car wash the other day and it was packed.  Yes, we wash our cars in winter.  You have to wash off the salt and chemicals from the road to keep the rust off.  I think the car wash is busier in the winter than it is in the summer.
