I had an appointment with my rheumatologist today. Due to the virus Bill didn’t go with me. He would have had to wait in the car. I talked with about my medicine and we have decided to change it. I am going to be trying Xelzanz. It is a pill I take every day so no more shots. Speaking of, she gave me a cortisone shot to help with my flares. This should help for a few days.
Aimee brought Rory over around 2:00. We will be keeping him until tomorrow some time. Pray for us. That boy has way too much energy. It rained in the afternoon but cleared up in the early evening. We lit a fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. It was nice to spend some time outside for awhile. I think Rory played with every toy he had in the house. He then built a fort and declared he was spending the night in there. I said fine. He did lay down in it but soon moved to his bedroom.
We ordered pizza and wings for dinner. Does that mean we have become Ohioans?
Saturday, May 30.
I didn’t sleep good last night and got up super early and read until everyone else got up. Then I made pancakes for breakfast. Lola decided to stay in bed a lot later than the rest of us.
Rory was excited to play with the slip n slide I got. I did make him wait until noon so that it would warm up a bit. He still shivered as he ran and slid. It will be something for him to play with over the summer. If he really,likes it I will get a better one next year. We sat outside for awhile so he could dry off. Lola likes sitting outside too.
Nick came and got them and we settled down to rest for the remainder of the day. For dinner I broiled a really nice rib eye steak. It was really good. We had twice baked potatoes with it.
Sunday, May 31
Last night we had a list of five things to do this week but this morning we couldn’t remember what they all were. I spent the day trying to remember the last things. We got our two walks in today. Dinner was a simple meal of soup and sandwiches. We read our Sunday paper and enjoyed the quiet. We did make one run to the local drug store. We also went by Arby’s and got orange cream shakes.
We are trying to decide whether to go to the group camp out. The won’t be a potluck, we don’t have a gathering place and we have to decide it we are taking the monsters with us. I will decide this week.
