Sunday, May 17

Laundry day. That was just about all the excitement for the day. We did our walks also.  We did make a quick trip to Kroger’s to pick up a couple of things I needed. I decided to make tacos for dinner. We haven’t had those in a bit.

I worked on my puzzle for a. It. I have a feeling this is going to take me a long time to finish. If I ever get it done I will post a picture.

We both took naps during the day. TV, books and computers filled the rest of the day.

Monday, May 18

Rain has been forecast for the next week. We got up, got dressed and took our morning walk. As we were walking we could feel the sprinkles. Just after we made it to our porch the skies opened up. It rained most of the rest of the day so no evening walk.

I decided to make chicken and dumplings for dinner. I put a frozen chicken breast, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth and some spices in the crockpot. I let it cook most of the day then shredded the chicken. I decided to use a small can of crescent rolls I had for the dumplings. We also had a salad with it. Not bad. I will have to keep that in rotation.

I worked on my puzzle some more and read for a bit

We had someone come over to give us a quote on replacing the front door. I am putting in a glass front door and a storm door that has a retractable screen. It is the same company the kids used. Since we are not going on our trip we will spend the money that way.



Tuesday, May 19

I originally had a doctor appt on Thursday but his office called and said he is not seeing people in person but by telemedicine.  So it was rescheduled to today. He had some volume problems on his side so it didn’t go very well. Fortunately all I was interested in was my medication so it was short.

Aimee asked if we could watch Rory while she got her hair cut. No problem. She said it was weird at the salon but at least she can style her hair now. We played games and watched tv where does he get so much energy?  He also helped with the puzzle.

Since we were not sure when Aimee would get back I decided we would do takeout for dinner. We drove over to McDonalds and had Big Mac’s.  We haven’t had that in years.

It rained all day. Areas around here had flood warnings and watches. We have a pretty good area so no flooding. The weather is suppose to start clearing up. Because of the rain there were no walks today.
