It looked like it was going to rain but it was cloudy and windy instead. We drove over to the place that is going to do our front door to get the color swatch. I didn’t like it, as it was too dark. After that we headed to the car wash to get my car done. The vacuums were open. That part has been closed for most of the stay at home order so the inside of my car hasn’t been done in a long time. Once washed and vacuumed we stopped at Sherwin Williams paint store. I picked up a couple of chips to decide between. Once I decide we will sign the contract and put down a deposit for the door. It will be a few weeks before it is built and then installed.
I spent a lot of time on my puzzle today. I am getting closer to being done. We did get our two walks in but we had to bundle up.
Dinner was a rib eye steak that I broiled. We had baked potatoes and carrots along with it. Restaurants here in Ohio get to open for inside dining tomorrow but we won’t be going for a few more weeks. We will still be doing takeout.
Tonight is the finale of The Masked Singer. I wonder who will win.
Thursday, May 21
We only got one walk in today and that was in the evening. Not that we had a lot to do, but because we didn’t get started early in the morning. Bill didn’t get dressed until late and before he did Nick dropped by. We visited with him for quite a bit. His family is doing good. After Bill got dressed we went to the grocery store. We didn’t buy much but the bill was still $80! I bought a frozen pizza for dinner which we had with a salad. I finally decided on a color for the front door. Here is a representation of what it will look like. The grey color will be a bit different and there will be a storm door which is mostly glass in front of it. The green door is the original door.
I watched the Celebrity Escape Room special. It was cute and at least it took up an hour of time. I also spent some time on the puzzle.
Friday, May 22
We got up early and got ready to go out. We went by the company doing the doors and signed the contract and made a deposit. It will be about three weeks before they get installed. Next we dropped by Kohl’s to pick up a package of stuff I ordered. They bring them out to the car for you. Yeah! Next we stopped by the shop where the rig is. It is finished but they don’t have the bill ready so we will pick it up on Tuesday. It is just going into storage anyway. They didn’t finish fixing the big awning as the part needed is on back order for a couple of months. Also the over the door awning needs to be replaced, it doesn’t work at all right now, but that is $1400 So we will wait on that. We are planning on trading it in anyway.
Once we got home we took our walk. It looks like it might rain today so we aren’t working in the garden. We plan on doing that tomorrow.
I finished my puzzle! Here is a picture of it. Guess I will pass it on to the kids now.
