Saturday- Tuesday July 18-21

Saturday

So we decided to go ahead had put our stuff out for the community yard sale. We didn’t have a lot but did have a few things to get rid of. Some of it was camping stuff and we did get rid of most of it. The yard sales here are odd. They don’t start until 9:00 and nobody bargains!  Most of what we had left went to the Salvation Army afterward. We closed up around noon as it was very hot. We only made about $55 but it was better then nothing. We did have some leftover diesel stuff that we are going to ask our RV repair guys if they can use it. There are also a couple of things like light bulbs, drawer stops and things that won’t work in this rig. They will also go to the guys.

Both of us took long naps in the afternoon.  We are both still tired from camping.  It will take a couple of days to get over that. I decided KFC was good for dinner instead of cooking. We both had moments today when we didn’t realize what day it was. Since we camped during the week instead of the weekend it threw us off. No, we don’t have Alzheimer’s.  .

We keep thinking it is going to rain.  It gets cloudy but nothing.  Our grass could really use the rain. I guess we are going to have to water soon.

Sunday

Sunday paper day. But before we read the paper we went for a walk while it was still decent outside. The temps are suppose to get into the 90’s again today.  We probably won’t do much more today. I did put the fixings for split pea soup in the crockpot for dinner. The soup turned out really good. I had some cornbread in the freezer that I warmed up. We also had grilled cheese sandwiches. Today was laundry day so we did get that done

Hey, it finally rained but only for about 15 minutes, at least it was rain. It might rain more tonight. Afterward we did go for our walk. The rain cooled it off by about 10 degrees.

Monday

Today was a running around day. After our morning walk we drove over to Set up an appointment with our rv repair guys. We want them to go over the rig and see if we need anything done. We trust these guys. After that we went to check out another local campground. We had looked at it when we first moved here but at the time didn’t do much with the info. It has a lot of trees so the satellite would. It have worked here but since we no longer have satellite it is fine. It is close enough to the city to pick up over the air channels. Also I am looking into streaming tv so we could do that with WiFi. After that we headed to Costco. We need to replace one of the tv’s in the rv. We didn’t notice that there is a stripe running down the middle of the tv. It is a cheap one anyway so we will get a better set. We will keep the other 3 sets and replace then down the line.  We got hot dogs at Costco but they don’t have anywhere you can sit so we ate them in the car. On the way home we stopped at Ace hardware to pick up a hatchet. Bill wants one for the rig to help with fires at the campground.

Our last stop was Best Buy to check out their tv’s. Only problem was when we went in the store there was a guy at the door checking people as they went in. I don’t know why but he was talking to some lady about something and wouldn’t let us in the store until he finished. We waited a couple of minutes then turned around and left. It was weird and I don’t know why we couldn’t just walk past the lady he was talking to. Guess they didn’t want my money. Back home we cooled off and didn’t do much the rest of the day.

I fixed tacos for dinner. They were yummy. We waited for the temps to go down before we went for our evening walk.

Tuesday

We both slept in about an hour so it was a bit warm when we went walking. After that we headed over to the rig to do some measuring. I am making a front screen for this one. The screen I had for the other rig is too short for this one. I needed to measure the windows for it. We also put up some shelves we bought to hold things. The rest of the day was boring. We did go out to dinner at BJ’s. The food was good but the service sucked. I had to go to the front desk to get someone to bring our check and she never brought refills for our drinks. We pretty much never saw her once our food was delivered. She apologized and said they were really busy.  I didn’t believe that since they are only using less than half of the restaurant due to COVID.
I watched the Avengers End Game in the evening and that was about it. Oh, I did spend some time on the phone with Spectrum to get info. We are thinking about going from satellite tv to cable then to streaming in the next year.
