Monday morning we took the rig into the service shop we use. We asked them to take out th wood tv and put in the new one. We also had them inspect it, especially the roof. Hey also changed the oil and checked all fluid levels and serviced the generator. We don’t need it back until Wednesday next week. We went out to breakfast and then over to Costco to check if they had disinfecting wipes. Nope. They are still hard to find so I pick them up when I find them. Aimee dropped Rory off for a couple of hours while she got her hair done.
Tuesday we went back to Costco to exchange a sweater I bought. It was too big. The day was pretty much boring. We didn’t do much so I don’t remember what else we did.
Wednesday afternoon the service guys called and said the rig was ready. They said everything looked good and the roof did not need to be sealed. We brought it home and decided to try to clean the underside of the awning. It was really dirty and had some moldy spots. We tried a couple of things but found Dawn dish detergent and a scrub brush worked the best. We did about a quarter of it and stopped for the day. We tried a number of things like Oxy and bleach. We decided to go to Walmart and see if they had any awning cleaner. We found an instant cleaner and bought that. I made spaghetti for dinner.
Thursday I had an appointment with my knee doctor. It has been a year and a half since my surgery. Everything is going good. After we got home and had lunch we went out it the rig. The new stuff we bought worked really well and it only took a couple of hours to clean the awning. It looks a lot better now. When we finished we took the rig over to storage. After parking it we noticed our boat had been moved a bit. We looked it over and we are pretty sure the rig that had been parked next to the boat hit the boat when they took their rig out. They knocked it over a few inches and tore the boat cover. I will call the office tomorrow, they were closed this afternoon, and report it. I don’t think that rig is coming back but I can get their info to call them. The boat wasn’t damaged but they bent the tire fender a bit. I can sew the cover So it can be used but a new one will cost about $100. Bummer. We also played around with the backup camera. When the sun shines on it is washed out. Bill tried pointing it in different directions but it didn’t work. I handed him my sun glasses and told him to hold them I front of the lens. That worked! We decided to get some car window stuff to see if we can cover the lens with it and if that helps.
Friday We have a CD that has matured so we have to do something with it the interest rates right now suck but the market isn’t any better I think we will just roll it into another CD but with a much shorter maturity date hopefully the rates will be better next year. We have an appointment at 1:00 to do that.
Before that we drove over to an electronic recycling place to get rid of the tv from the rig and a few other things we had been there a couple of years ago now they are charging a fee to recycle we really didn’t have a choice as the trash won’t take the tv. Oh well, it is done we also went over to the storage lot and I put the one strap that I had repaired on the boat the office was closed so I will call on Monday to talk to them about the boat getting hit. I think they Have moved out but I want to make sure. If they are coming back I want to talk to them. We started hearing thunder while there so we hurried home it didn’t rain during the day but it sure looked like it would. We will see if it rains overnight
We did go to the grocery store after the bank to get a few things. I am trying to keep the pantry stocked with basics. Don’t want to have the same problems we had during the lockdown. I did make SOS for Bill for dinner tonight. It is fast and easy to make.
Saturday Today was a do nothing day. We really did do nothing. We watched some tv and I read. Dinner was pork chops, baked apples, and broccoli.
Sunday. Laundry and cleaning day. Yeah. We did get our walks I today. The weather is no too bad. It is a bit muggy but nothing much. They keep predicting rain but we haven’t gotten any. I told Bill we were going out to dinner. We chose Doubleday’s. It is a sports bar but does have a few regular dinner meals. It was pretty good. My mashed potatoes were a bit lukewarm but ok. We have an appointment to have the rig washed when we get back from camping this week. It is our group camp out. We are not taking the little ones. Rory says we spend too much time with the group and he gets bored. He starts school soon. He will be doing remote learning as that is how the district is doing it. I have a few things I want to order but need to wait until it won’t be delivered while we are gone. I want a new comforter for the master bedroom, a dash cover for the rig and a couple of clothing pieces.
