This week is all a blur. We spent time getting ready to go camping this weekend. We had to pack clothes, food, toys, and everything else. That also meant trips to the grocery store.
We had ordered a tv from the exchange to put into the rig and it was suppose to arrive on Wednesday. Of course it didn’t so I called Fedex to see what was going on. They gave me a song and dance about it being shipped from Calif and there were special rules for product coming from there. They said it had to be inspected and would be late arriving. Usually not a problem but we were camping this weekend so would not be home Thursday to Sunday. I called 5e exchange to talk to them about it. They also said it sounded like a fake excuse. Within 12 hours of my call to the exchange Fedex sent a notice the tv would be there on Friday. Ok, we were driving back to town to pick up Rory and Lola so would check then. We also made arrangements with a neighbor to check on it. He has the code for our garage door so can put it in there. The package finally arrived around 6:30 PM. At least it is here so it can be installed next week.
We took the rig to the campground on Thursday and stayed there, just the two of us. It was nice and quiet. We decided to go to a BBQ place we have passed a number of times but never went to. It is located close to the campground. It is in a place where they hold the Renaissance Faire each year. So we went for dinner and enjoyed it. It was not crowded, but we did go early. The food was good and they gave you a lot. We decided that we could order one meal with two meats and share that.
Friday morning we went to pick up the little monsters. Since the rig was already at the campground we didn’t have to go through the setup, just had to put away Rory’s stuff. He was out and playing soon after. I think he had a good time this weekend. He did meet a boy who went to the same school he did and they played together most of the weekend. He didn’t want to go swimming and neither did most of the campground. I was surprised that there weren’t many kids in the campground even though it was full. Guess we won’t be going back there with him again. Here are a couple of pictures.
Rory does like his s’mores. The rig is working good for what we need. I think we will keep it.
We took the little ones home on Sunday morning and then went home and collapsed. We will take the rig to our repair guys to have the oil changed and the generator serviced. They are also going to replace the tv for us.
I talked to Terry for a bit on Saturday evening. It is always good to talk to him.
That is all for now. I’ll post again soon.
