Tuesday - Sunday, Aug 17-30

Yeah, yeah. I have not posted in awhile. Most days are repeats of each other but we did do a couple of things. The 20th-23rd we went camping with our group. It was a good camp out. We did have rain on Saturday but otherwise the weather was good. The local chamber of commerce did a drive through of
the campground while our group was there our rig is the very last one in the video. See if this link works - https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1696371530530352&id=175437115957142

The group was in the covered area.  I think this was taken after dinner so we were probably in our rig at the time. We had a good time and are looking forward to thenext one. Bill and a couple of the guys in the group worked on our rig on Friday. We were having trouble with our turn signal on the tow car. Turns out it was a blown fuse and the fuse was in the most impossible place to replace. Bill had to shimmy between the drivers seat and the wall to get under the dash to get to it. Hopefully it will never need to be replaced again.

Rory started remote school on the 24th. We will be helping out by going over on Fridays while Aimee does some chores like shopping. This will give both of them time off from each other. Remote school will go at least through the first quarter.

Our great-grandson, Nelson, also started school in North Carolina.  He is going to a private school and is enjoying it

He is a couple of years older than Rory.

We did go out to dinner with the kids on the evening of the 24th.  We hadn’t seen them in a couple of weeks and I didn’t feel like cooking after coming home from the camp out  we went to BJ’s  the food was good but the service there is slow

On the 30th we decided to take a Sunday drive and went to see some covered bridges.  We chose the bridges in Preble County.  Or at least 6 or so of them  Ohio has 125 covered bridges, we hope to catch all of them eventually. This group was north and a little west of us so it was about a 25 minute trip to get to the first one.  The whole trip took about 4 hours and that included a stopped for lunch/dinner.  Our gps didn’t have the bridges listed and we didn’t have addresses for them either but Google maos located them so we took off using printed directions, something we haven’t used in a long time. Sometimes we were just guessing directions but it worked. Here are some picture of the bridges

The Dixon Branch bridge was located in a city park.  While we were there a group of ladies said we should see the chain saw carvings just over a footbridge in the park.  There was a lady there repainting them to preserve them.

We stopped at a BBQ places called Station 7 for food.  It was just okay.  The meat was a bit dry.  It is far enough away we probably won’t go there again

So I hope this brings everything up to date.
