Early Dec

We went to the camping groups Christmas lunch. It was held at Golden Corral.  Not my favorite restaurant but I didn’t choose the place.  I did like everything they had for the salad bar so I made a really big salad for lunch.  When we eat a big lunch we rarely have dinner but we did go for our daily walks.  On Sunday the 4th we went over to the kids house for Rory’s birthday dinner for adults.  He had kids over on Saturday.  Aimee made spaghetti as that is his favorite food right now.  She made the sauce from scratch and it was really good.  It is hard to believe Rory is 10 now.

We went out to lunch with our neighbors on Tuesday.  We try to go out together every so often.  Oh, did I tell you about the house that burned up the street?  Well the owner sold it instead of rebuilding.  A construction company bought it and they just tore it down.  They are going to rebuild and then sell it.  It is a single story like ours but just slightly different.  At least they are getting the mess cleaned up now.

Our friend Terry booked his cruise to Alaska.  We thought about it and decided to go along.  So from July 2-9 we will be cruising the waterways in Alaska.  4th of July on a boat!  We will also be on the cruise for Bill’s 80th birthday.  Now I have to decide what excursions to go on and when to fly.  We are talking about going a couple of days early and flying into Portland and going to Terry’s house then driving to Seattle with him  and Cathye for the cruise.  We will see.

I have most of my Christmas stuff bought  now I need to wrap them  I also need to decide what is Aimee’s Christmas stuff and what are her birthday things.  Next will be making fudge.  I am not making cookies this is year, I decided to buy some from a local bakery.  We don’t need dozens of cookies and loads of candy so I am cutting down.  Christmas will be at the kids house and Aimee will cook.

So that is all for now.
